If I had one opportunity, or shot, I would definitely blow because I will one day regret not taking an opportunity. At least if I give it my all and fail, I know I must either to give up or pursue a different path. Even if I destroy myself in the process, it allows me to mature and develop. In other words, failures, if one is persistent leads to growth. Blowing down the road of uncertainty is better than being stigmatized and not moving forward. That first leap into 'that one chance of a lifetime' can act as the needed boost toward something. In addition, that one crash can lead to a better understanding of 'knowing thy self,' whether it is 'picking up the pieces' or having first sucess.
