My work in ePortfolio consists of my NCC Grad portfolio and I started one for Arts, but didn't update it in lieu of using paper materials for immediacy and student convenience. In terms of portfolio pedagogy, I am enthusiastic that it gives students an opportunity to review and reflect on their own work, revising and reflecting on their own ideas more than once. I think that portfolio pedagogy allows students to critically engage with their own thoughts and work in the past, and to assess their own progress as students and thinkers. I worry about the rigorousness of the platform (in terms of sustained, thoughtful student engagement rather than more journalistic or reflective process alone), and wonder how the skills imparted via ePortfolio differ from other platforms such as Wordpress.

I have used E-Portfolio a few times during Fall I for weekly reflections. This upcoming semester, I plan to used E-Portfolio for more important things. I think reflecting on my experience as a peer mentor will allow me to think about the things I do to right and wrong when it comes to communicating and helping students. I also plan to add some creativity to my profile.

I used ePortfolio this past semester for the weekly plans for Group Workspace. I didn't use it as much as I should have. It was a bit confusing at first because I have never used it before. But I thought it was easy to learn and navigate. I think it is a very useful tool to be used in classrooms because of its interactive aspect. I am excited to be using it in Studio and to especially learn about how to incorporate it into classroom activities.

I have not used ePortfolio throughout the semester after summer bridge, I got the hang of it when we were first trained on how to navigate it. I've had some troubleshooting recently but I managed to find the solution. I'll get more adjusted to using ePortfolio as I learn more about it.

I never used e-Portfolio directly in my GWS, so my only experience with it has been indirectly while sitting in some of the classes. There, it's most productive use was as a way for the teacher to distribute information and data. But whenever it was used as a way for the students to give to the professor, it seemed much more inconvenient than using either email or physical copies.

I actually haven't used ePortfolio since the 6th week of NCC's Fall 1 session. At first I was able to keep up with updating it, but as a full time student at Hunter College, I found it difficult to update it on top of my school work. I would take notes of my group work space sessions, meetings with grad mentors, and my work with students in my head and later in the day, would assess GWS and my work at NCC.
I will try to make use of it for this upcoming semester.

Coming to NCC was the first time I learned about eportfolio. I never really adjusted to it and like Laura said it comes off as a thing that is "bolted" on, and really should be built in. I look forward to participating in the process of making eportfolio successful to us and the students.

So far, I've created two e-Portfolios -- one that is public and one that is private only to the faculty and other Graduate Coordinators. I've been more active with the latter one, posting descriptions of what the Peer Mentors and I did in GWS sessions and reflecting on how our lessons did and did not work. I've also collected some teaching materials there. My public profile started off well, but I have not maintained it. I'd like to work on making it a better representation of myacademic work and teaching. Finally, in Arts in NYC, I really only used the course area of e-Port, which became an area for students to deposit work. It served almost no other purpose, alas.

I created an ePortfolio during the Fall I semester, but it was mainly used as a repository for my reflections on Group Work Space, which were meant to be seen only by the faculty of House IV and the other graduate coordinators. I do think ePortfolio can be used in really interesting ways, and I am looking forward to engaging with it more for the Spring I semester.

I barely used E-Portfolio during the Fall semester. As peer mentors, we were supposed to use E Portfolio to write weekly reflections. It is difficult to adjust to E Portfolio only because it is so different from any other site I've used before but I really feel that the more we as peer mentors and staff use this system, the better we can help the students.e

I was pretty gung ho about eportfolio when it was first introduced to us in a workshop during summer bridge. I tricked it out and was on top of doing my reflections for about a month...and then it sort of fell completely out of my mind. I'm glad we're getting reintroduced to it and I am exctied to integrate it into studio and how I communicate with students.

I never used eportfolio. It will take some time to get use to it but I think that I can learning it quickly.

I'm still adjusting to E-Portfolio even though we used it weekly in my GWS. I'm happy for a chance to get to know the program better so I can use it more effectively.

I actually have never used ePortfolio ...but I am very excited to learn how to navigate it and become familiar with it. It seems like a very interactive and useful tool and I am sure once I am comfortable using it I would appreciate it even more. This sort of reminds me of cunyfirst- difficult at first but once you get the hang of it it becomes second nature.

I have used E-Portfolio for a Global Perspective course that I did last Spring. It was very difficult at first and very flummoxing to navigate but overtime I became more proficient. I have posted course assignments and videos on and more recently I have learned how to format colors and upload pictures on e-Portfolio. I have helped students to post their assignments as well, but for the most part I really need more practice and instructions on how to use e-Portfolio more efficiently.

I am looking forward to working with ePortfolio on a more consistent basis during Spring I & II. My goal is to add content to my page including NCC marketing matierals I've created, general informatoin on the peer mentor program, mentor resources, mentor video clips, and recruitment materials. In addition, mentors will be required to submit a weekly (or possibly bi-weekly) reflectoin that I will review regularly.

For the past semester I used e-portfolio to update my profile for both students and faculty to see. More importantly I used e-portfolio as a means to share my reflections about my experience at NCC working with students both in and out of Group Work Space.
I am still in the process of learning to navigate e-portfolio and using it as a means to connect with students as well as faculty. I am still unsure as to how I go about personalizing my profile.
My concerns are more related to learning learning how to effectively navigating e-portfolio so that I will be able to help students having problems while using their e-portfolios. I also need to learn how to connect with my cohorts in terms of sharing information, sending out messages, and also connecting with professors so that everyone is on the same page.

My about me page is completed and includes a brief bio of who I am and what school I attend. Unfortunately, I have not written a reflection yet. I'd like put more effort into developing my e-portfoilio and presenting it to future employers, since my field of interest is journalism.

I tried to use e-Portfolio but it was very confusing, I was not sure what was being published. I also did not understand what exacly was being asked of me to post on my e-Portfolio.

I have used e-Portfolio to check assignments due for the QR class that I had participated in last Fall. Additionally, the professor had also posted in-class problems and articles via e-Portfolio. Furthermore, I know the basics of posting documents as well as uploading images. I would like to learn and work on formatting my page so that it looks professional and presentable. But, it is sometimes discouraging to use e-Portfolio as a mentor because I do not receive any feedback on posts I make.

I was very excited about eportfolio and my entries that I managed to complete were thorough. I also wanted to design my page to best displayed my skills while also aspiring students to take advantage of all that we offer. Unfortunately, school, work, life did not leave me with the time or energy to complete too many or my page. I also was experiencing some difficulties with the design tools because I am not terribly tech. advanced. I do like the concept of having an online platform to display your work.

I created a personalized example page for a Summer Bridge class on Digication, satirizing an example of an inappropriate and unprofessional page.
Then I wrote two reflections.
And that is the end of that.

I am getting more comfortable using ePortfolio in my classes, especially as a way to build community. In the spring semester, I hope my students will start to visit each other's portfolios in and out of class and leave comments. In order for this to happen, I will model commenting and reflection as a way to give feedback on work in progress on assignments and devote time in class for students to work with the portfolio.

At the end of Fall II 2013, I am embarrassed to say that I am still not comfortable with e-Portfolio editing. I think my biggest issue is the CSS encoding piece. I do have some experience with CSS but not enough and I think each website has its own template so I need more time to navigate this one. I am currently blocking out time on my calendar to work on my e-Portfolio as I imagine time being the even bigger issue.

In the last semester, I learned some ePortfolio basics. For example, I know how to change ePortfolio's visual layout, create pages and sub-pages, submit posts, and upload texts and pictures. I also know how to visit other people's pages and submit feedback to their posts. - Nablul

I have a basic understanding of ePortfolio, as it was primarily used for weekly and bi-weekly reflections during Fall I. I am not entirely computer savvy, so I look forward to learning more about how to navigate this system and how to personalize my page.

I'm nowhere really, with e-portfolio. I've got the basics down, but I really haven't really used it as a resource, or as a tool for my own machinations. So this will be informative.
