This semester, we will use food (what we eat, where we eat it, how we eat it) as a lens through which to view and explore New York City and its many public health concerns.  Using our class theme as a point of departure, every student will plan, write, and present a research project based on his or her own interests.  Our aim this semester is to employ a variety of different and exciting new tools to supplement our understanding of the social, cultural, historical, and political forces influencing our health and the health of all New Yorkers.
