Resume/Cover Letter Overview Presentation

 

If you have something to work with, make edits:

 

  • Update Education section with college information
  • Use Guttman email as contact information
  • Add academic projects, events, or experiences you have had this year
  • Use tips to try and improve bullet points:

○      Consider how you discuss your skills

 

○      Action verbs

 

○      Who, what, when, where, and why?

 

○      Another tip: Look up the position on any of the career exploration websites used last semester (O*Net, MyNextMove, Occupational Outlook Handbook). Get ideas from the language these sites use to describe the skills and tasks associated with a particular position.
