Hi! If you teach Monday afternoons, there is a free organ concert every Monday for 30 minutes at 1pm at the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (1, B or C trains to 110th Street).

The builidng has a unique 8 second sound reverberation, houses lots of art including a bronze triptych by Keith Haring, and will be showing an exhibit of Barberini tapestries (from c 1630s) starting in February. Entrance is by donation and the space is really large and interesting to explore (and has public bathrooms and drinking fountains). If you are traveling together from campus, you can have students walk west on 40th to enter the 1 train there, and then just walk two blocks north on Bway and one block east to Amsterdam to reach the Cathedral.
