I met Nat Trotman my second year of college in a French class at UNC Chapel Hill, I believe. We were both big fans of our Art History professor, Carol Mavor, who greatly influenced both of us. Who would guess that 20+ years later we'd both live in NYC and have careers here?

This summer Nat curated a hugely popular show at the Guggenheim by artist James Turrell and invited me to come for an early morning visit (before the museum opened) to see it. It was truly stunning to sit in the Guggenheim with half a dozen people and listen to Nat talk about the artist, the space, the installation, and his role.

At times, I am truly stunned by the aweome people I have met in my life. Nat is definitely one of those people.
